NAMASTE Scheme is a joint initiative of the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment (MoSJE), Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs (MoHUA) & Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DoDWS) and is implemented by National Safai Karamcharis Finance and Development Corporation (NSKFDC).

Waste Pickers have been included under NAMASTE Scheme to recognize and strengthen their contribution in waste collection, recovery & recycling.

This survey is being carried out to enumerate Waste Pickers so that scheme benefits may be extended to them.
